The trip was absolutely amazing. In some ways life-changing. We had never been
to S. America before. The culture was incredible, the trip that Roberto had arranged
was right up our alley. His local team was also great. We had a cook, guide and two
porters. I'm assuming that you understand that Peru, like most S. American
countries, is a developing county. The creature comforts of home were not there,
however, the camping, running, exploring and logistics were totally planned out and
we felt as if we were treated like royalty. Although we felt special, we also were able
to be immersed in the culture and became close to those on our trip. Dave Cook,

I was in Cusco for a month this summer and wanted to continue with my running
routine, however, I was unfamiliar with runner-friendly locations in the city. That's when
I came across the Inca Runners website! It was a great experience! Hanny met me in
the city center and from there we were off to an area free of traffic and surrounded by
fresh air, local Cusqeno farms, and beautiful historic ruins! Hanny was kind to
accomodate my pace, given the altitude was a challenge for me. After a lovely hour
run, we stopped in a nicely shaded area for some post-run yoga to stretch the muscles.
All the activity required nourishment, so, we stopped at a local market for some fresh
fruit juices on the way home. It was a great way to log some miles and see the sites
outside of the city center! Christy Short, CA
Running with Hanny gave me the opportunity to get away from the city, crowds, and
taxis and experience the real beauty of Peru. I was able to get a personal look at
sacsaywaman without any tour or groups. It helped make my time in Cusco that much
better because I got to experience a place unlike any I had ever been, all while doing
one of things that I love most in the world - running! Laura Bradrick
“It was an experience of a lifetime!” “Roberto took us to places that the normal tourist
would never experience” “The running was phenomenal and you will never have a better
breakfast than the breakfast at the ruins” Sarah Cook, Seattle.
"The altitude training in Cuzco was of great help!". Kevin Glick from CT after finishing Ironman
Florida Triathlon 2007. |
