About
Leif was born and raised in Bozeman, Montana. Growing up surrounded with such a strong outdoor community, it was easy for him to get involved with numerous endurance activities.
Leif started Cross Country Skiing when he was 14. After a few short years, he quickly fell in love with the sport of Nordic skiing. Later, Lief qualified for two World Junior Championship teams and was a member of the U.S. Ski Team for five seasons.
After training and racing all around North America, Scandinavia and Europe, visiting the Andes is a new and exciting venue for him to integrate into his training by running and hiking the high altitudes of Peru!
If you ask him about his best skiing experience, Lief will tell you hands down is skiing in Yellowstone National Park with his teammates, friends and family.
Among his hobbies, we can mention Backcountry skiing, Running, Rock Climbing, Traveling, Biking, Hunting, Horse Packing, Baseball, Camping, Golfing, Tennis, and almost anything else outdoors!
