Krissy Moehl

Lead Running Coach

Two-Time Ultra Tour Du Mont Blanc(UTMB) Winner

About: Krissy has participated in and won ultra trail events around the world in several distances, most recently the San Diego 100 mile Endurance run (June 2011), and holds the record for the youngest female to have completed the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning(Western States 100, Vermont 100, Leadville 100 and Wasatch Front 100)   Krissy is also the Race Director of the iconic Chuckanut 50K

 

What Are You Looking Forward The Most During The Camp?: take runners to one of my favorite trails in the US.  The Grand Tetons is such a magical place!

Luke Nelson

Lead Running Coach

US-Ski Mountaineering Champion. Wasatch 100th (2nd)

About: Ultra Runner, and recently crowned Ski Mountaineering US Champion, Luke has a true love for the mountains and the serenity and solitude involved with moving quickly in wild places, one example of this is his recent Epic Great Salmon Run where he ran over 120 miles in less than 48 hours to raise awareness about several facts of this species, such as its unique migration route as well as its danger of extinction

 

What Are You Looking Forward The Most During The Camp?: meeting new people, running on the Grand Tetons, specially doing the Circumnavigation run, people will love it!

Hugo Mendez

Camp Director

About: Originally from Lima, Peru, Hugo has always had a strong passion for all things endurance sports, from marathons through ironman triathlons and now ultrarunning.  He is very excited to share with you all about the Inca culture, the mystical Chasquis (original Inca Runners) and the delicious Peruvian cuisine!

 

Camp responsibilities: so many!  overall coordination of the camp and your main link to the Inca culture.

 

What Are You Looking Forward The Most During The Camp?: meeting new people and sharing witth them the great things about the Incas, and prepare my famous Lomo Saltado & Pisco Sour!


Main Running Goal in 2012 : Run my first 50 miler and  then PR it (planning on doing two)


 

James Reeves

Cook extraordinaire

About:Full time dad, husband, novice farmer (free range chickens), whole foods advocate, buy local supporter, admitted beer snob, kitchen nerd and dedicated runner. He can often be found on the back roads and trails in his little corner of the Ozarks.

 

Camp responsibilities: providing simple, fresh and hopefully tasty fuel for the trail runs. That and whatever else he can do to help out.


What Are You Looking Forward The Most During The Camp? Going someplace grand (get it?), meeting new folks (everyone has a story) and having fun. In short, an adventure.

 

 

Main Running Goal in 2012 This year my goal is to not die. Seriously. OK, I want to simply be consistent, have some great adventures, challenge myself, inspire others, be a good steward of the gift and continue to improve

Bryce Thatcher

Grand Teton Legend / Hydration Packs Guru

Bryce is a not only an accomplished endurance athlete and adventure racer but is also the inventor of "hydration" packs.
He also holds the record for the ascent/descent of the Grand Teton (3hrs 6 mins).
Bryce will tell us more about his experience accomplishing this amazing achievement, as well as the latest technology and advice in hyrdation systems, especially the new UltrAspire line
